While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. The house at Učakovci 43 is one of those houses.
The family at this house is directly descended from the Bubaš of Učakovci 14.
As this is a newer house in Učakovci, the existence of the Bubaš surname does not count towards the number of original families with this surname.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Bubaš (Gornji Bubašov). He married Ana Papa (Jankova) b. 1844. Together they had 2 children, including:
1A. Ana Bubaš b. 1876 in Učakovci 14, m. 1895 to Jurij Cvetič (Jesihov) — they remained at this house.
Ana Papa m. 1885 to her second husband Johan Mihelčič (Peršetov). Together they had 1 child:
1B. Marija Mihelčič b. 1887, m. 1910 to Johan Kalčevič — they lived in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.
At this point, the Bubaš lineage ended at this house. Matija Hudak (Hudakov) and his wife Katarina Špehar (Papova) moved in.
Matija Hudak and his wife Katarina Špehar had 3 children:
2A. Marta Hudak b. 1885, m. 1910 to Jože Medoš (Peršetov).
2B. Katarina Hudak b. 1891, died at the age of 41 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
2C. Matija Hudak b. 1897, m. 1919 to Magdalena Krušec (Ivečeva).
