While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house carries the name of Faričevi. There are some who believe that Fariči is actually the name of a locality within Balkovci but so far, we have not found any evidence to support that.
Through the period of our studies, we have found only one house in the Preloka Parish which originally has the surname of Simčič. This surname is not a very common one even in the Vinica parish in the village of Vukovci. It is much more commonly found in the Adlešič Parish and in villages closer to Črnomelj.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Peter Simčič b. 1789. He married Antonija Ivanušič b. 1800. Together, they had at least 1 child, including:

2F. Ivan Simčič b. 1859. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
