While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either.
This house is the tenth of the ten documented houses in church documents to be considered a “new” house in Hrast. The best estimate for the construction of these series of houses is after 1830.
The family that lived here appears to have lived here alone after the patriarch Peter Jakša (Hrasinec 3) left to work in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Peter Jakša (Hrasinec 3) b. 1852. :hemarried Ana Hudak (Drenovec 10). Together they had 6 children, including:
1A. Franc Jakša b. 1879, m. 1904 to Barbara Moravec (Bahoričeva from Sečje Selo).
1B. Marija Jakša b. 1881. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
1C. Matija Jakša b. 1883. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
1D. Ana Jakša b. 1892. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
