While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house does not have a recorded household name but for the purposes of this document, they will be referred to as the Mravinci as it reflects the name of the oldest house members.
Even though the Mravinec surname exists for the mostpart in households in Sečje Selo, this is the only house in Golek which has this surname.
The oldest records that we have for this house is for two brothers, Nikolaj and Johan. Nikolaj’s son was responsible for the creation of the house at Golek 14. For that reason, that branch of this family will instead be included only in that document.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Mravinec b. 1774. He married Ana Mihelič b. 1790. Together they had 8 children, including:
1A. Nikolaj Mravinec b. 1806. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
1B. Marija Mravinec b. 1808. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
1C. Matija Mravinec b. 1810. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
1D. Jože Mravinec b. 1811, m. ca. 1839 to Ana Stegne (Podklanec 37) — they remained at this house.
1E. Jurij Mravinec b. 1824, m. 1864 to Barbara Malešič (Bračkova from Podklanec).
1F. Peter Mravinec b. 1828. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
1G. Johan Mravinec b. 1829, died at the age of 24. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.
1H. Ana Mravinec b. 1837. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
Jože Mravinec [1D] and his wife Ana Stegne had 5 children, including:
2A. Katarina Mravinec b. 1840, died at the age of 24. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.
2B. Jože Mravinec b. 1945. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
2C. Ana Mravinec b. 1850, m. 1876 to Jože Miroslavič (Podklanec 16).
After failing to continue this lineage, Jože Mravinec’s [1D] brother Jurij’s wife’s neice moved in with her husband.
Jurij Štefanič (Kruhečov from Podklanec) b. 1854 and his wife Barbara Malešič (Bračkova from Podklanec) had 6 children, including:
3A. Barbara Štefanič b. 1885. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
3B. Monika Štefanič b. 1889. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
3C. Makar Štefanič b. 1892. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
3D. Genofa Štefanič b. 1896, m. 1919 to Franc Mihelič (Klobučarev from Vinica) — they lived at Vinica 35.
3E. Jurij Štefanič b. 1903. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
3F. Johan Štefanič b. 1909. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
Franc Mihelič and his wife Genofa Štefanič [3D] had 5 children between Vinica 35 and this house. Eventually, one son moved back here and had a family.
