Ogulin (pronounced [ˈoːɡulin]) is a small settlement north of Vinica in the Municipality of Črnomelj in the White Carniola area of southeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.
The history of this settlement is quite short. At this time, we suspect that it was only formally established between 1780 and 1800. To support this short history is the fact that the original 6 houses in this village were all ruled by different lords. 1 was the lord from Podzemlj, 2 houses were under the rule of the lord of Vinica and 3 houses were ruled by the church.
