The Jurkini household at Zilje 44 may have been built by Jure Starešinič (Rihtarov-Oficir) ca. 1878. He was born in Preloka 18 in 1821, and married at the Oficiri in 1849, then married to his second wife, Magda Vidina, in 1864. The location of the house is unknown to us, and the status animarum records that the house was demolished in 1924. The Jurkini must have moved into the Oficiri house at Zilje 27 around this time.

Around this time (1872), Jure Starešinič and his wife built a new house, the Jurkini, at Zilje 44 and his children moved there with them.
