While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either.
Through the period of our studies, we have found three distinct houses which originally carried the Radovič surname in Sečje Selo. This is the third of the three houses (in order of house address).
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Jurij Radovič b. 1747. He married Marija b. 1765. Together, they had at least 2 children, including:
1A. Matija Radovič b. 1794, m. ca. 1818 to Barbara Žagar — they remained at this house.
1B. Johan Radovič b. 1802. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
Matija Radovič [1A] and his wife Barbara Žagar had 7 children, including:
2A. Ana Radovič b. 1819, m. ca. 1838 to Miha Pavlešič (Kovačev from Perudina).
2B. Katarina Radovič b. 1822, m. 1846 to Jurij Šutej (Kovačji Grad 8).
2C. Matija Radovič b. 1828, m. 1860 to Magdalena Perko (Volekova from Drenovec) — they remained at this house.
2D. Johan Radovič b. 1832, m. 1871 to Helena Špehar (Mavričeva from Perudina) — they remained at this house.
2E. Barbara Radovič b. 1835, m. ca. 1854 to Matija Mihelčič (Staregov from Učakovci).
2F. Marija Radovič b. 1837, m. 1859 to Matija Moravec (Makarov from Podklanec) — they lived at Perudina 14.
Matija Radovič [2C] and his wife Magdalena Perko had 6 children, including:
3A. Matija Radovič b. 1861, died at the age of 25. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.
3B. Jurij Radovič b. 1866, died at the age of 22 in Novo Mesto. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.
3C. Johan Radovič b. 1870, died at the age of 64 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.
Johan Radovič [2D] and his wife Helena Špehar had 5 children, including:
3D. Johan Radovič b. 1873. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
3E. Barbara Radovič b. 1878, m. 1899 to a man from Pribanjci 9.
3F. Jožefa Radovič b. 1882. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
3G. Marija Radovič b. 1884. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
At this time, the original Radovič lineage ended at this house. Later, Jurij Majerle (Sodevci 24) moved in with his wife Marija Rogina (Bubašova from Golek) who he married in Silver Bow, Montana.
Jurij Majerle and his wife Marija Rogina had 2 children, including:
4A. Emma Majerle b. 1899 in Silver Bow, Montana. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
Jurij Majerle m. 1912 to his second wife Marija Šnelar (Janečeva from Gorica). Together they had 4 children, including:
4B. Viljem Majerle b. 1913, m. 1934 to Justina Šutej (Ingasova) — they remained at this house.
4C. Jurij Majerle b. 1915, m. 1949 to Ana Šutej (Kosmusova).
Viljem Majerle [4B] and his wife Justina Šutej had 2 children.
