The Mikolini household at Zilje 50 is named for its originator, Nikolaj Žalec (Brdarov). His older brother was married at the Brdari, so Nikolaj with his wife Marija Čemas (Izklančeva) built the house ca. 1885. The surname at the house changed in the 1900s when Mr. Tomec married into the household.
