This house originally carried the name of Mali Markoči. This name may suggest that the originated from a household known as the Markoči with the Mali prefix suggesting that they are an offshoot.
Through the period of our studies, we have found seven distinct houses which originally carried the Verbanec surname. This is the seventh of the seven houses (in order of house address).
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Katarina b. 1755. Together, with her husband, she had at least 1 child, including:

2E. Miha Verbanec b. 1834. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
2F. Jurij Verbanec b. 1838. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
2G. Katarina Verbanec b. 1840, m. 1864 to Jurij Krušec (Brežanov)1.

Johan Verbanec [1A] m. 1852 to his second wife Ana Kambič (Ingasova from Sečje Selo). Together they had 5 children, including

2J. Magdalena Vebanec b. 1862, had 4 illegitimate children — she remained at this house.
Johan Verbanec [2B] and his wife Helena Muhič had 6 children, including:

Magdalena Verbanec [2J] had 4 illegitimate children, including:

At this point, the original Verbanec lineage ended at this house. Matija Kalčevič (Liplje 4) moved in with his wife Katarina Maljevac (Učakovci 45) after returning from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Matija Kalčevič and his wife Katarina Maljevac had 3 children, including:
4A. Marija Kalčevič b. 1906 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, m. 1925 to Franc Gregorič (Podzemlj 9) — they remained at this house.
4B. Ana Kalčevič b. 1912, died at the age of 69. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.
