While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house was originally known was the Dolnji Medvedovi. This name changed to Žuglji when Peter Žugelj (Žugljov from Zilje) moved his family back from Pittsburgh and moved into this house.
Peter Žugelj moved here just before World War I had begun after purchasing this property from the previous owner Ivan Medved. Peter Žugelj had moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania years earlier to gain employment and also to marry his wife, which by some was believed to be an arranged marriage.
