While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Dežinski. At this time, the origins of this household name is unknown to us.
Through the period of our studies, we have found seven distinct houses which originally carried the Mihelčič surname. This is the fifth of the seven houses (in order of house address).
The oldest records we have found to date for a person from this house is for several siblings, including:
1A. Matija Mihelčič b. 1801, m. ca. 1823 to Barbara Bosanec — they remained at this house.
1B. Johan Mihelčič b. 1810. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
