While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either.
Through the period of our studies, we have found two houses which originally carried the Žlenar surname in Damelj. This is the second of the two houses (in order of house address). To date, the Žlenar surname has not been found anywhere else in the Vinica parish or the neighbouring Preloka and Sinji Vrh parishes.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Žlenar. He married Lucija Fortun b. 1788. Together, they had at least 5 children, including:
1A. Jurij Žlenar b. 1813. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
1B. Katarina Žlenar b. 1818. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
1C. Johan Žlenar b. 1821. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
1D. Ana Žlenar b. 1827. :nolife f.
Johan Žlenar m. ca. 1836 :towife2: Lucija Filip b. 1810. Together, they had at least 7 children which died in infancy or early childhood.
With no descendants of Johan and Lucija remaining, Peter Kobe (Lesičev) and his wife Lucija Filip (Kovačeva from Draga) moved in to live out their lives.
