While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. Even though this house still exists today, the history of it is unknown as for a short period, there were no documented inhabitants at this house.
It was not until the 1870s when Matija Flajnik of Hrast 3 moved in and had his family with his wife Katarina Flajnik.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is Matija Flajnik (Kaplanov from Hrast 3) b. 1838. He married Katarina Flajnik (Perudina 11) b. 1845 and had 5 children, including:
1A. Marija Flajnik b. 1872, m. 1896 to Miha Jarnevič — they lived at Hrast 40.
1B. Matija Flajnik b. 1874, m. 1901 to Katarina Zatovšek (Lukinova from Podklanec) — they lived at Hrast 3.
1C. Johan Flajnik b. 1880. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
At this point, the Flajnik lineage ended at this house. While this family was living here, Matija Balkovec (Tundekov) also lived here with his third wife Margareta Kobe with several of their children from other marriages. Margareta Kobe had a daughter from her first marriage to Jurij Kobetič (Nova Lipa 3), Katarina who eventually married and lived here with her family.
Franc Karin (Gornji Karinov from Podklanec) and his wife Katarina Kobetič had 6 children, including:
2A. Marija Karin b. 1901, m. 1924 to Franc Šutej (Veliki Nerajec 42) — they lived at Vinica 40.
2B. Amalija Karin b. 1908, m. 1929 to Jurij Bahorič (Pribinci 9) — they remained at this house.
2C. Franc Karin b. 1910, m. 1936 to Antonija Žagar.
Jurij Bahorič and his wife Amalija Karin [2B] had one son who died in infancy.
