While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. The house at Učakovci 40 is one of those houses.
The family at this house is directly descended from the Goričani of Učakovci 19.
As this is a newer house in Učakovci, the existence of the Mihelčič surname does not count towards the number of original families with this surname.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Miha Mihelčič (Goričan) b. 1823. He married Marija Medoš (Peršetova). Together they had 6 children, including:
1A. Johan Mihelčič b. 1854, m. 1885 to Ana Papa (Jankova) — they lived at Učakovci 43.
1B. Miha Mihelčič b. 1860, m. 1885 to Marija Flajnik (Kovačeva from Vukovci) — they remained at this house.
1C. Marija Mihelčič b. 1868, had 1 illegitimate child — she remained at this house.
1D. Jurij Mihelčič b. 1870, m. 1909 in Bosnia to Helena Medoš (Drenovec 8).
Miha Mihelčič [1B] and his wife Marija Flajnik had 4 children, including:
2A. Marija Mihelčič b. 1886. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
2B. Katarina Mihelčič b. 1892. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
Marija Mihelčič [1C] had 1 illegitimate child:
2C. Sofija Mihelčič b. 1894. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
At this point, the original Mihelčič lineage ended and Matija Žagar (Koščakov from Vukovci) and his wife Ana Hudak (Kalčeva) moved in.
Matija Žagar and his wife Ana Hudak had 4 children, including:
3A. Frančiška Žagar b. 1903 in Vukovci 26, m. 1923 to Peter Žagar (Mikaničin from Damelj) — they lived at Vukovci 26.
3B. Ana Žagar b. 1908, m. 1933 to Rudolf.
