This house originally carried the name of Markoši, which is likely a reference to the man who originally established this household. It was later changed to Gorički when Stanislav Prokšelj married into the house in 1949.
Through the period of our studies, we have found seven distinct houses which originally carried the Mihelčič surname. This is the fourth of the seven houses (in order of house address).
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Barbara b. 1772. Together, with her husband, she had at least 4 children, including:
