While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house carries the name of Krejačevi. At this time, the exact origin of this name is unknown to us.
Through the period of our studies, we have found seven distinct houses which originally carried the Flajnik surname in Perudina. This is the third of the six houses (in order of house address). The Flajnik surname is only originally found in Hrast, Perudina and Vukovci.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Barbara b. 1780. With her husband, she had at least 3 children, including:
1B. Jurij Flajnik b. 1801, m. ca. 1834 to Ana Mihelčič — they remained at this house.
1C. Barbara Flajnik b. 1808. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
Jurij Flajnik [1B] and his wife Ana Mihelčič had 9 children:
2A. Ana Flajnik b. 1834, m. ca. 1861 to Miha Flajnik (Stari Kovačev) — they remained at this house.
2B. Barbara Flajnik b. 1836. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
2C. Marija Flajnik b. 1842, died at the age of 20. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.
Miha Flajnik and his wife Ana Flajnik [2A] had 1 child which died in early childhood.
Miha Flajnik [3A] and his wife Barbara Mravinec had 7 children:
4A. Jurij Flajnik b. 1890. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
4C. Franc Flajnik b. 1895. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
4D. Jože Flajnik b. 1899, m. 1924 to Franca Babič (Knežina 8) — they remained at this house.
4E. Barbara Flajnik b. 1901, m. 1920 to Franc Vlahovič (Radmeličev from Vinica).
4F. Marija Flajnik b. 1903, m. 1926 to Štefan Gorše (Pusti Gradec).
4G. Johan Flajnik b. 1906. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
Jože Flajnik [4D] and his wife Franca Babič had 2 children which died in infancy.
Jože Flajnik had a concubine living at the house. Soon after the death of the second child he had with his wife, Franca left Jože and went to the United States where she married again. Jože’s concubine Dragica Saftić (Pribanjci 59) raised her children from her first marriage at this house.
