While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Mlinari. This family was likely refered to by this name as they would have been mill owners. It was later changed to Prokšeljevi as this was eventually the only remaining Prokšelj family in Učakovci.
Through the period of our studies, we have found two distinct houses which originally carried the Prokšelj surname. This is the second of the two houses (in order of house address). This family bought the property at Učakovci 25 and built a sawmill there. Although unconfirmed, it is suspected that Johan Prokšelj b. 1784 may have been the brother of the oldest patriarch at Učakovci 25.

My grandfather was Frank Prokselj. He immigrated to the United States. He lived for a short time in Pittsburgh, PA. He worked in the mines in Butte, Montana and settled in Twin Bridges, Montana to farm. His name was changed to Frank Broksle at some point. He married Ana Fortun in Butte, Montana. She was also from Slovenia close to where Frank lived.
