The origin of the household name at Zilje 27 is unknown, although the head of the family may, at one point, have been an officer in the military. The surname of this family was Čadonič in all the records we have reviewed to date. A split in the family occurred in the 1870s with the creation of the Jurkini. The Oficiri house burned down in the same fire that destroyed the house of the Dolnji Hajduki next door at Zilje 25 in 1925. The house was likely rebuilt because the status animarum records that the Jurkini family from Zilje 44 moved into the house. Soon after, the lineage of Oficiri ended and the Jurkini family continued at Zilje 27, abandoning their house at Zilje 44.
