While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either.
This house was originally inhabited by a Flajnik family but ownership was turned over several times before the house was left inhabited in the early 1900s.
Through the period of our studies, we have found seventeen distinct houses which originally carried the Flajnik surname. This is the eighth of the seventeen houses (in order of house address). The Flajnik surname is only originally found in Hrast and Perudina.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Flajnik b. 1780. He married Katarina Mravinec b. 1784 and had at least 4 children, including:
1A. Matija Flajnik b. 1804, died at the age of 27. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.
1B. Katarina Flajnik b. 1808. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.
1C. Helena Flajnik b. 1813, m. ca. 1843 to Jurij Flajnik (Perudina 21).
1D. Johan Flajnik b. 1821, m. 1859 to Ana Flajnik (Magainčeva) — they lived at this house for a short while before moving to Hrast 32.
At this point, the Flajnik lineage ended at this house. Miha Malešič (Čaporov from Podklanec) and his wife Ana Flajnik (Hrast 16) moved into this house but never had any children. Later, Miha Flajnik (Školnikov) and his wife Barbara Juršinič (Hrast 16) moved into this house and started their family.
Miha Flajnik and his wife Barbara Juršinič had 1 child:
2A. Franc Flajnik b. 1892. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
