While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Jugatovi. At this time, it is unknown what the origin of this household name is.
This house is the seventh of nine documented houses in church documents to be considered a “new” house in Sečje Selo. The best estimate for the construction of these series of houses is after 1880.
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Jože Kambič (Ingasov) b. 1855. He married Katarina Dražumerič (Belčji Vrh 31) b. 1853. Together they had 4 children, including:
1A. Jože Kambič b. 1882 in Sečje Selo 10. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
1B. Katarina Kambič b. 1886, m. 1907 to Jože Žagar (Vinica 44).
1C. Franc Kambič b. 1896. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
At this point, with Katarina Kambič going to live in Vinica, the original Kambič lineage ended at this house. Franc Mihelčič (Goričkov from Učakovci) moved in with his wife Katarina Verbanec (Staregova from Učakovci).
Franc Mihelčič and his wife Katarina Verbanec had 6 children.
