While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Gašpašičevi. This household name is directly derived from the surname of the family that lived here.
Through the period of our studies, we have found only one house in Hrast with the Gašparič surname. This surname is more commonly found in Nova Lipa as well as villages in the Dragatuš parish. The family at Hrast 45 also has the Gašparič surname but it is a direct offshoot of this house.
