While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally had the name of Gornji (Bari\u010devi). This name was given this to differentiate it from the Dolnji<\/a> at Stara Lipa 14<\/a> and the Srednji<\/a> at Stara Lipa 18<\/a>. This name was later changed to Brojdi\u010devi.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found three houses which originally carried the Bari\u010d surname in Stara Lipa<\/a>.\u00a0This is the second of the three houses (in order of house address). The Bari\u010d surname is not very common in the Vinica parish but found sporadically in the neighbouring Dragatu\u0161 parish.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Bari\u010d b. 1739. He married Katarina Gergura\u0161 (who was likely his second wife) b. 1772. Together, they had at least 3 children, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Johan Bari\u010d b. 1790, m. ca. 1825 to Marija Flajnik (Kreja\u010deva<\/a> from Perudina<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

1B. Jurij Bari\u010d b. 1801, m. to Marija Ivani\u010d — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

1C. Katarina Bari\u010d b. 1806, m. 1838 to Miha Simoni\u010d (Simoni\u010dkev from Nova Lipa<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Johan Bari\u010d [1A] and his wife Marija Flajnik had 2 children:<\/p>\n

2A. Johan Bari\u010d b. 1826. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

2B. Miha Bari\u010d b. 1831, m. 1854 to Barbara Adle\u0161i\u010d (Kne\u017eina 11) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

Johan Bari\u010d [1A] m. 1838 to his second wife Barbara Kobe (Kobe\u010dova from Nova Lipa<\/a>). Together they had 6 children, including:<\/p>\n

2C. Marija Bari\u010d b. 1846. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

Miha Bari\u010d [2B] and his wife Barbara Adle\u0161i\u010d had 2 children, which died in early childhood.<\/p>\n

Miha Bari\u010d [2B] m. 1861 to his second wife Ana Trdi\u010d (Kne\u017eina 15). Together they had 1 child which died in early childhood.<\/p>\n

At this point, with no children to reach adulthood, the original Bari\u010d lineage ended at this house.\u00a0 Johan Rogina (Ivankov<\/a>) moved in with his wife Marija Rogina (Gornja Ti\u0161ljerova<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Johan Rogina and his wife Marija Rogina had 10 children, including:<\/p>\n

4A. Johan Rogina b. 1868, m. 1896 to Ana Flajnik (Bartolova<\/a> from Hrast<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

4B. Peter Rogina b. 1873. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

4C. \u0160tefan Rogina b. 1875. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

4D. Katarina Rogina b. 1882, m. 1802 to a man from Zapudje 4.<\/p>\n

4E. Barbara Rogina b. 1887. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

Johan Rogina [4A] and his wife Ana Flajnik had 2 children:<\/p>\n

5A. Rudolf Rogina b. 1901, m. 1923 to Marija Balkovec (Ivan\u0107eva<\/a> from Balkovci<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

5B. Marija Rogina b. 1903. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

Rudolf Rogina [5A] and his wife Marija Balkovec had 1 child.<\/p>\n
