While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally had the name of Dolnji (Bari\u010devi). This name was given this to differentiate it from the Gornji<\/a> at Stara Lipa 15<\/a> and the Srednji<\/a> at Stara Lipa 18<\/a>. This name was later shortened to only Bari\u010devi.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found three houses which originally carried the Bari\u010d surname in Stara Lipa<\/a>.\u00a0This is the first of the three houses (in order of house address). The Bari\u010d surname is not very common in the Vinica parish but found sporadically in the neighbouring Dragatu\u0161 parish.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Bari\u010d b. 1781. He married Ana Verbanec b. 1778. Together, they had at least 6 children, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Johan Bari\u010d b. 1802. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

1B. Miha Bari\u010d b. 1804, m. 1829 to Marija \u0160pehar (Bel\u010dji Vrh 21) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

1C. \u0160tefan Bari\u010d b. 1807. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

1D. Marko Bari\u010d b. 1810. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

1E. Katarina Bari\u010d b. 1824, m. 1844 to \u0160tefan Rogina (\u017dutegov<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Miha Bari\u010d [1B] and his wife Marija \u0160pehar had 1 child which died in early childhood.<\/p>\n

Miha Bari\u010d [1B] m. 1831 to his second wife Helena Hudleja. Together they had 11 children, including:<\/p>\n

2E. Marija Bari\u010d b. 1847, m. 1869 to Johan Frankovi\u010d (Matkovi\u010dev from Nova Lipa<\/a>).<\/p>\n

2F. Jurij Bari\u010d b. 1853, m. 1882 to Ana Gor\u0161e (Hrast 24<\/a>) — they lived at Hrast 35<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Miha Bari\u010d [2A] and his wife Ana Jurejev\u010di\u010d had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n

3A. Barbara Bari\u010d b. 1856, m. 1876 to Matija Miheli\u010d (Mete\u017eev from Gornji Suhor<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n
