While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house has the name of Lovrinovi. This name was given to them as they were the only household in Stara Lipa<\/a> with the Lovrin surname. It was later changed to Rokovi named after a later patriarch of this household.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found only one house which originally carried the Lovrin surname in Stara Lipa<\/a>. The Lovrin surname is not common in the Vinica parish<\/a> but much more common in the neighbouring Dragatu\u0161 parish<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Lovrin b. 1760. He married Stanislava Valant b. 1758. Together, they had at least 2 children, including:<\/p>\n

1B. Marko Lovrin b. 1802. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n
