While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house has the name of Ivankovi. This name is likely derived from the name of the patriarch who lived at this house at some point.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found eleven houses which originally carried the Rogina surname in Stara Lipa<\/a>.\u00a0This is the third of the eleven houses (in order of house address). The Rogina surname is one that is most common in Stara Lipa in the Vinica parish<\/a> but also quite common in the neighbouring Dragatu\u0161 parish<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Katarina\u00a0 b. 1770. Together, with her husband, she had at least 2 children, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Johan Rogina b. 1793, m. ca. 1820 to Marija Fortun (Bel\u010dji Vrh 3) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 1B. Jurij Rogina b. 1803, m. ca. 1831 to Ana Frankovi\u010d (Frankovi\u010deva<\/a> from Dre\u017enik<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n Johan Rogina [1A] and his wife Marija Fortun had at least 3 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Marija Rogina b. 1815, m. 1837 to Nikolaj Hudelja (Kne\u017eina 4).<\/p>\n 2B. Bartolomej Rogina b. 1821. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jurij Rogina [1B] and his wife Ana Frankovi\u010d had at least 7 children, including:<\/p>\n 2C. Katarina Rogina b. 1831, m. 1857 to Johan Miheli\u010d (Miheli\u010dov from Dolnji Suhor<\/a>).<\/p>\n 2D. Jurij Rogina b. 1833, m. 1859 to Katarina Rogina (Vr\u010danova<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 2E. Johan Rogina b. 1835, m. 1867 to Marija Rogina (Gornja Ti\u0161ljerova<\/a>) — they lived at Stara Lipa 15<\/a>.<\/p>\n 2F. \u0160tefan Rogina b. 1837, died at the age of 22. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 2G. Marija Rogina b. 1839, died at the age of 27. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 2H. Peter Rogina b. 1849, m. 1877 to a woman from Bel\u010dji Vrh 30.<\/p>\n Jurij Rogina [2D] and his wife Katarina Rogina had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n 3A. Jurij Rogina b. 1860. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 3B. Matija Rogina b. 1863, died at the age of 25. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 3C. Jo\u017ee Rogina b. 1866, m. 1893 to Ana Benec (Kucanova<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jurij Rogina [2D] m. 1871 to his second wife Katarina Tomec (Lovre\u010dova<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>).
