While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house has the name of Panjankini. This name was likely given to them as they were the only household in Stara Lipa<\/a> with the Panjan surname.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found only one house which originally carried the Panjan surname in Stara Lipa<\/a>. The Panjan surname is not common in the Vinica parish<\/a> but much more common in the neighbouring Dragatu\u0161 parish<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Matija Panjan b. 1775. Together with his wife, they had at least 5 children, including:<\/p>\n

1D. Marija Panjan b. 1821, died at the age of 29. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

1E. \u0160tefan Panjan b. 1825. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

Jurij Panjan [1A] and his wife Katarina Rogina had 4 children:<\/p>\n

2A. Katarina Panjan b. 1833, died at the age of 33. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

2B. Jurij Panjan b. 1836, m. 1868 to Katarina Bari\u010d (Bari\u010deva<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2C. Miha Panjan b. 1841, died at the age of 78. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

2D. Johan Panjan b. 1846. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n
