According to a tax registers of the 15th to 17th centuries, the village of Stara Lipa<\/a> included a total of 16 H\u00fcbe or arable land divided amongst the residents.\u00a0 It is important to point out that these tax registers only list individuals who were subjects of the\u00a0Lord for whom the register was created.\u00a0 There were other individuals, along with their families, living in Stara Lipa<\/a> at this time.<\/p>\n

When we turn to Birth and Marriage Registers (mati\u010dne knjige) kept by the Catholic Church,\u00a0we can identify 20 individual households existing in\u00a0Stara Lipa<\/a> in the year 1820.\u00a0 Some of these households, and the houses themselves, have since vanished.\u00a0 Other have been since created, usually as\u00a0delniki, i.e.\u00a0 by partitions of a pre-existing household into two (or more) households.<\/p>\n

The families in Stara Lipa<\/a> are long standing families where ownership of households did not change hands very often likely because of its proximity to other villages.\u00a0 We have found 5 distinct surnames in the oldest church records including, Bari\u010d (3 houses), La\u0161i\u010d (4 houses), Lovrin (1 house), Panjan (1 house) and Rogina (11 houses).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
