While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either.<\/p>\n
This house is the sixth of nine documented houses in church documents to be considered a \u201cnew\u201d house in Damelj<\/a>. The best estimate for the construction of this house is around 1895.<\/p>\n The family that originally inhabited this house was an offshoot of the \u017dagar family from Damelj 5<\/a>, the \u017dagari<\/a>. This house was only labeled at Damelj 36 for one generation after which it was renumbered as Damelj 39<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Jurij \u0160pehar (\u017dagarov<\/a>). He married Ana Lovren\u010di\u010d (\u0160peharji 28). Together they had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Veronika \u017dagar b. 1887, m. 1904 to Jo\u017ee Lakner (Draga 6).<\/p>\n 1B. Antonija \u017dagar b. 1892, m. 1919 to Johan Krupi\u010d (Krupi\u010dev from Draga<\/a>).<\/p>\n 1C. Matija \u017dagar b. 1897, died at the age of 26. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 1D. Marija \u017dagar b. 1899, died at the age of 87. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 1E. Jurij \u017dagar b. 1901, m. 1925 to Angela Flajnik (Jure\u010deva<\/a> from Vukovci<\/a>) — they lived at Damelj 39<\/a>.<\/p>\n 1F. Jo\u017ee \u017dagar b. 1902, m. 1929 to Ljubica Papa (Rim).<\/p>\n 1G. Peter \u017dagar b. 1904, m. 1927 to Karolina \u0160terbenac (Doljanova<\/a> from Vukovci<\/a>).<\/p>\n
