While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either.<\/p>\n
This house is the first of five documented houses in church documents to be considered a \u201cnew\u201d house in Damelj<\/a>. The best estimate for the construction of this house is around 1840.<\/p>\n Although not yet confirmed, the Kobe family that originally inhabited this house may have been originally from Draga<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Ana b. 1794. Together, with her husband, she had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Matija Kobe b. 1816, died at the age of 52. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 1B. Johan Kobe b. 1816, m. ca. 1846 to Ana \u017dagar (Petrova<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 1C. Jurij Kobe b. 1823. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 1D. Ana Kobe b. 1828. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n Johan Kobe [1B]\u00a0 and his wife Ana \u017dagar had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Johan Kobe b. 1848. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 2B. Ana Kobe b. 1854, m. 1876 to Johan Filip (\u0160o\u0161tarov<\/a>).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At this point, the Kobe lineage ended at this house. Matija Fortun (\u017dupanov<\/a>) moved in with his wife Ana Kobe (Konde\u0161ova<\/a> from Kot<\/a>) and family.<\/p>\n Matija Fortun and his wife Ana Kobe had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n 3A. Jurij Fortun b. 1875 in Kot 23<\/a>. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 3B. Eduard Fortun b. 1877 in Damelj 28<\/a>. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n
