While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found two houses which originally carried the \u017dlenar surname in Damelj<\/a>. This is the second of the two houses (in order of house address). To date, the \u017dlenar surname has not been found anywhere else in the Vinica parish<\/a> or the neighbouring Preloka<\/a> and Sinji Vrh parishes<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan \u017dlenar. He married Lucija Fortun b. 1788. Together, they had at least 5 children, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Jurij \u017dlenar b. 1813. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 1B. Katarina \u017dlenar b. 1818. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n 1C. Johan \u017dlenar b. 1821. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 1D. Ana \u017dlenar b. 1827. :nolife f.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Johan \u017dlenar m. ca. 1836 :towife2: Lucija Filip b. 1810.
