Through the period of our studies, we have found three houses which originally carried the Kobe surname in Kot pri Damlju<\/a>. This is the third of the three houses (in order of house address). The Kobe surname is not uncommon in the Vinica parish<\/a> but much more common in the neighbouring Sinji Vrh parish<\/a> and Stari Trg parish<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Matija Kobe b. 1772. Together with his first wife, they had at least 2 children, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Matija Kobe b. 1801, m. ca. 1825 to Lucija \u017dalec — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Matija Kobe m. to his second wife Katarina Bari\u010d b. 1796. Together, they had at least 7 children, including:<\/p>\n 1B. Jo\u017ee Kobe b. 1825. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 1C. Johan Kobe b. 1833. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 1D. Peter Kobe b. 1838, died at the age of 32 in Zagreb. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Matija Kobe [1A] and his wife Lucija \u017dalec had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Katarina Kobe b. 1833, had 1 illegitimate child — she remained at this house.<\/p>\n 2B. Ana Kobe b. 1837, m. 1876 to Matija Fortun (\u017dupanov<\/a> from Damelj<\/a>) — they lived at Damelj 32<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Matija Kobe [1A] m. ca. 1843 to his second wife Katarina Kobe.
