While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house has the name of Caprnovi. At this time, the origin of this name is unknown to us. It was later changed to Ivan\u010devi.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found three houses which originally carried the Kobe surname in Kot pri Damelju<\/a>. This is the second of the three houses (in order of house address). The Kobe surname is not uncommon in the Vinica parish<\/a> but much more common in the neighbouring Sinji Vrh parish<\/a> and Stari Trg parish<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Kobe b. 1774. Together with his first wife, they had at least 6 children, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Johan Kobe b. 1807, m. ca. 1833 to Katarina Simoni\u010d — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

1B. Margareta Kobe b. 1813, died at the age of 40. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

1C. Ana Kobe b. 1814. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

1D. Nikolaj Kobe b. 1820. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

Johan Kobe m. to his second wife Lucija Madroni\u010d. Together, they had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n

1E: Barbara Kobe b. 1839, m. to a man from Ne\u017ea Vas 29.<\/p>\n

1F. Lucija Kobe b. 1842, m. 1870 to Johan \u017dalec (Juri\u0161ajen<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Johan Kobe [1A] and his wife Katarina Simoni\u010d had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n

2A. Johan Kobe b. 1834, m. ca. 1859 to Marija Lakner (Draga 6)1<\/sup> — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2B. Katarina Kobe b. 1838, m. 1868 to Johan Lakner (Draga 6)1<\/sup> — they lived at Draga 2.<\/p>\n

2C. Matija Kobe b. 1841, m. 1866 to Lucija Kobe (Piri\u010deva from \u0160peharji<\/a>).<\/p>\n

2D. Jurij Kobe b. 1843. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

1. Johan Lakner and Marija Lakner were siblings.<\/em><\/sup><\/p>\n

3B. Pavel \u0160pehar b. 1874. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

3C. Miha \u0160pehar b. 1877, m. 1902 to Marija Horvat (Janko\u010deva<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

3D. Peter \u0160pehar b. 1880, died at the age of 75. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n
