While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house has the name of Lesi\u010devi. At this time, it is unknown what the origin of this household name is.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found four houses which originally carried the Kobe surname in Damelj<\/a>. This is the third of the four houses (in order of house address). The Kobe surname is not uncommon in the Vinica parish<\/a> but much more common in the neighbouring Sinji Vrh parish<\/a> and Stari Trg parish<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Kobe b. 1780. He married Katarina \u0160pehar b. 1780. Together, they had at least 7 children, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Katarina Kobe b. 1806, died at the age of 39. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 1B. Johan Kobe b. 1808, m. 1833 to Lucija Madroni\u010d (Dalnje Njive 9) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 1C. Miha Kobe b. 1812, m. 1846 to Katarina Buba\u0161 (Pavli\u010deva<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>).<\/p>\n 1D. Lucija Kobe b. 1814, m. 1844 to Jo\u017ee Filip (Kova\u010dev from Draga<\/a>)1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n 1E. Peter Kobe b. 1817, m. ca. 1847 to Lucija Filip (Kova\u010deva from Draga<\/a>)1<\/sup> — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 1F. Ana Kobe b. 1819. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n 1G. Jurij Kobe b. 1823, died in Karlovac, Croatia.<\/p>\n 1. Jo\u017ee FIlip and Lucija Filip were siblings.<\/em><\/sup><\/p>\n Johan Kobe [1B] and his wife Lucija Madroni\u010d had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Ana Kobe b. 1842. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n 2B. Katarina Kobe b. 1844, m. 1870 to Johan \u017dalec (Juri\u0161ajenov from Kot<\/a>) — they lived at Damelj 30.<\/p>\n 2C. Johan Kobe b. 1847, died at the age of 20. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 2D. Barbara Kobe b. 1850, m. 1883 to a man from Mo\u010dile 25.<\/p>\n 2E. Jo\u017ee Kobe b. 1853, m. 1884 to Ursula Frank (Geisingen am Neckar, Germany).<\/p>\n 2F. Marija Kobe b. 1856. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n 2G. Matija Kobe b. 1859, m. 1884 to Marija Marof (Klanec 20) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Peter Kobe [1E] and his wife Lucija Filip had 8 children which died in early childhood.<\/p>\n Matija Kobe [2G] and his wife Marija Marof had 2 children, including:<\/p>\n 3A. Franc Kobe b. 1891. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ana Lakner m. ca. 1863 to her second husband Matija Medved (\u0160pehar 21). Together they had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n 3A. Ana Medved b. 1863, m. 1881 to Jo\u017ee Kobe (Petrov from Kot<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 3B. Katarina Medved b. 1866, m. 1889 to Peter Madroni\u010d (Draga 5).<\/p>\n 3C. Marija Medved b. 1869, m. 1888 to Pavel \u0160pehar (\u0160peharji 24) — they lived at \u0160peharji 38.<\/p>\n Jo\u017ee Kobe and his wife Ana Medved [3A] had 11 children, including<\/p>\n 4A.
