These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house has the name of Ljukajevi. This name is likey derived from the name of the man who likely constructed the house or was the patriarch at one point, Luka.<\/p>\n<p>Through the period of our studies, we have found four houses which originally carried the Kobe surname in <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/damelj\/\">Damelj<\/a>. This is the second of the four houses (in order of house address). The Kobe surname is not uncommon in the <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/\">Vinica parish<\/a> but much more common in the neighbouring <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/sinji-vrh\/\">Sinji Vrh parish<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/stari-trg\/\">Stari Trg parish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Kobe b. 1765. He married Margareta b. 1770. Together, they had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>1A. Marija Kobe b. 1802, m. 1853 to Nikolaj Krupi\u010d (Krupi\u010dev from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/sinji-vrh\/draga\/\">Draga<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>1B. Johan Kobe b. 1808, m. 1830 to Marija \u017dagar (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/damelj\/the-people\/damelj-5-zagari\/\">\u017dagarova<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>1C. Peter Kobe b. 1812. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Johan Kobe [1B] and his wife Marija \u017dagar had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>2A. Johan Kobe b. 1835, m. 1857 to Ana Lakner (Draga 6) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>2B. Jo\u017ee Kobe b. 1845, died at the age of 22. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Johan Kobe [2A] and his wife Ana Lakner had 2 children which died in early childhood.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ana Lakner m. ca. 1863 to her second husband Matija Medved (\u0160pehar 21). Together they had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>3A. Ana Medved b. 1863, m. 1881 to Jo\u017ee Kobe (Petrov from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/kot-pri-damlju\/\">Kot<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>3B. Katarina Medved b. 1866, m. 1889 to Peter Madroni\u010d (Draga 5).<\/p>\n<p>3C. Marija Medved b. 1869, m. 1888 to Pavel \u0160pehar (\u0160peharji 24) &#8212; they lived at \u0160peharji 38.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jo\u017ee Kobe and his wife Ana Medved [3A] had 11 children, including<\/p>\n<p>4A. Franca Kobe b. 1885, m. 1905 to a man from Klanec 13.<\/p>\n<p>4B. Marija Kobe b. 1888, m. 1909 to Peter \u0160pehar (Kot pri Damlju 35) &#8212; they lived at <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/damelj\/the-people\/damelj-7-mihelovi\/\">Damelj 7<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>4C. Katarina Kobe b. 1896. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>4D. Veronika Kobe b. 1899, died at the age of 26. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n<p>4E. Johan Kobe b. 1901, died at the age of 61 in Michigan. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n<p>4F. Matija Kobe b. 1903, m. 1927 to Angela Madroni\u010d (\u0160peharji 33) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>4G.
