While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally had the name of Knezovi. It is plausible that the inhabitants of this house were originally descendants of a local duke. The name was later changed to Bel\u010devi. At this time, the exact origin of this name is unknown to us.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found three houses which originally carried the Flajnik surname in Vukovci<\/a>. This is the third of the three houses (in order of house address). The Flajnik surname is only originally found in Hrast<\/a>, Perudina<\/a> and Vukovci<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest records we have found to date for a person from this house is for several siblings, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Johan Flajnik b. 1770, m. to Ana Toma\u017ei\u010d — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n Unknown Flajnik [1A] and his wife Katarina \u017dagar had at least 2 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Ana Flajnik b. 1816, m. ca. 1835 to Matija Kobe (Pa\u010dov from Otok<\/a>).<\/p>\n 2B. Katarina Flajnik b. 1822. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Johan Flajnik [1B] and his wife Ana Toma\u017ei\u010d had at least 1 child, including:<\/p>\n 2C. Barbara Flajnik b. 1808, m. ca. 1824 to Johan Kobe — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Although there is nothing confirming any relation to the Flajnik family yet, another family was also living here at this time. Based on some notation, before marrying Katarina Prok\u0161elj, Nikolaj Brozovi\u010d may have been married to a Katarina Flajnik.<\/p>\n Nikolaj Brozovi\u010d and his wife Katarina Prok\u0161elj had at least 3 children, including:<\/p>\n 2D. Ana Brozovi\u010d b. 1806, died at the age of 29. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 2E. Barbara Brozovi\u010d b. 1808, died at the age of 28. Barbara Kobe b. 1825, m. 1846. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n 3B. Johan Kobe b. 1829, m. ca. 1854 to Katarina Ribi\u010d (Zdihova 25) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 3C. Katarina Kobe b. 1838, m. 1863 to Nikolaj Maljevac (Pari\u010dev<\/a>).<\/p>\n 3D. Marija Kobe b. 1842, m. 1873 to Jurij Sim\u010di\u010d (Ravidi\u010dev<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 3E. Matija Kobe b. 1845, died at the age of 28. Franc Kobe b. 1879, m. 1906 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Juliana Pupi\u010d (Rim 3) — they lived at Vukovci 29.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jurij Sim\u010di\u010d and his wife Marija Kobe [3D] had 7 children, including:<\/p>\n 4F. Marija Sim\u010di\u010d b. 1866, had 1 illegitimate child while living at Vukovci 15<\/a>.<\/p>\n 4G. Jurij Sim\u010di\u010d b. 1873.
