The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. In the case of some smaller settlements such as <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/ogulin\/\">Ogulin<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/dreznik\/\">Dre\u017enik<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/kovacji-grad\/\">Kova\u010dji Grad<\/a>, household names were never widely adopted as there was no need to differentiate families from each other. In the case of Kova\u010dji Grad, despite the fact that 4 of the 8 houses had people with the surname of \u0160utej, there is very limited repetition of surnames leading to the use of surnames as the &#8220;household name&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Through the period of our studies, we have found four distinct houses which originally carried the \u0160utej surname in <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/kovacji-grad\/\">Kova\u010dji Grad<\/a>. This is the last of the four houses (in order of house address).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Matija \u0160utej b. 1775. Together with his first wife, they had at least 3 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>1A. Jurij \u0160utej b. 1809, m. ca. 1846 to Barbara Pavle\u0161i\u010d (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/perudina\/the-people\/perudina-20-dolnji-ivancevi\/\">Dolnja Ivan\u010deva<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/perudina\/\">Perudina<\/a>) &#8212; they lived at <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/kovacji-grad\/the-people\/kovacji-grad-5\/\">Kova\u010dji Grad 5<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>1B. Peter \u0160utej b. 1812. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>1C. Matija \u0160utej b. 1815, died at the age of 71 in Croatia. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Matija \u0160utej m. ca. 1819 to his second wife Ana Mihel\u010di\u010d (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/ucakovci\/\">U\u010dakovci<\/a>). Together, they had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>1D. Jurij \u0160utej b. 1823, m. 1846 to Katarina Radovi\u010d (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/secje-selo\/the-people\/secje-selo-16\/\">Se\u010dje Selo 16<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>1E. Barbara \u0160utej b. 1825, m. 1844 to Matija Mali\u010d (\u0160kolnik from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/vinica\/\">Vinica<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>1F. Marko \u0160utej b. 1827. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jurij \u0160utej [1D] and his wife Katarina Radovi\u010d had 10 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>2A. Katarina \u0160utej b. 1844, had 2 illegitimate children which died in infancy.<\/p>\n<p>2B. Ana \u0160utej b. 1846, m. 1875 to Johan Flajnik (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/the-people\/hrast-pri-vinici-12\/\">Hrast pri Vinici 12<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>2C. Magdalena \u0160utej b. 1849, m. 1870 to Jo\u017ee Karin (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-11-dolnji-karini\/\">Dolnji Karinov<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/\">Podklanec<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>2D. Barbara \u0160utej b. 1851, m. 1873 to Matija \u0160nelar (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/kovacji-grad\/the-people\/kovacji-grad-2-polancevi\/\">Polan\u010dev<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>2E. Jurij \u0160utej b. 1856, m. 1881 to Ana Moravec (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/gornji-podklanec\/podklanec-25-makarovi\/\">Makarova<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/\">Podklanec<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>2F. Johan \u0160utej b. 1859, m. 1884 to Lucija Maganja (Fratrovci 21) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>2G. Marija \u0160utej b. 1863, m. 1882 to \u0160tefan Kobe (Ivan\u010dev from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/otok\/\">Otok<\/a>).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jurij \u0160utej [2E] and his wife Ana Moravec had 1 child:<\/p>\n<p>3A. Ana \u0160utej b. 1887, m. 1906 to Ciril Trempus (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/ogulin\/the-people\/ogulin-9\/\">Ogulin 9<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Johan \u0160utej [2F] and his wife Lucija Maganja had 2 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>3B. Johan \u0160utej b. 1885 in Fratrovci.
