While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. In the case of some smaller settlements such as Ogulin<\/a>, Dre\u017enik<\/a> and Kova\u010dji Grad<\/a>, household names were never widely adopted as there was no need to differentiate families from each other. In the case of Kova\u010dji Grad, despite the fact that 4 of the 8 houses had people with the surname of \u0160utej, there is very limited repetition of surnames leading to the use of surnames as the “household name”.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Miha Runti\u010d b. 1794. He married Barbara Verbanec b. 1793. Together, they had at least 7 children, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Matija Runti\u010d b. 1821, died at the age of 60. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

1B. Katarina Runti\u010d b. 1823, died at the age of 40. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

1C. Barbara Runti\u010d b. 1825, m. after 1857 to Matija Flajnik (Gornji Flajnikov<\/a> from Hrast<\/a>).<\/p>\n

1D. Johan Runti\u010d b. 1833, m. ca. 1858 to Ana Papa (Mlinarova<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

Johan Runti\u010d [1D] and his wife Ana Papa had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n

2A. Johan Runti\u010d b. 1858, died at the age of 32 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

2B. Jurij Runti\u010d b. 1860, m. 1886 to Ana Verbanec (Pecojova<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2C. Ana Runti\u010d b. 1862, m. 1885 to Jo\u017ee Mihel\u010di\u010d (Gori\u010danov<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>).<\/p>\n

2D. Marija Runti\u010d b. 1868, m. 1889 to a man from Fratrovci 5.<\/p>\n

2E. Barbara Runti\u010d b. 1872. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

Jurij Runti\u010d [2B] and his wife Ana Verbanec had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n

3A. Franc Runti\u010d b. 1889. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

3B. Johan Runti\u010d b. 1895, m. 1920 to Katarina Tomac (Pribanjci) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

3C. Barbara Runti\u010d b. 1904, m. 1928 to Ciril Novak (Marki\u010dov<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>).<\/p>\n
