While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. In the case of some smaller settlements such as Ogulin<\/a>, Dre\u017enik<\/a> and Kova\u010dji Grad<\/a>, household names were never widely adopted as there was no need to differentiate families from each other. In the case of Kova\u010dji Grad, despite the fact that 4 of the 8 houses had people with the surname of \u0160utej, there is very limited repetition of surnames leading to the use of surnames as the “household name”. This house is one of the exceptions in Kova\u010dji Grad. This household name is Polan\u010devi. At this time, the origin of this name is unknown to us.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Matija \u0160nelar b. 1773. He married Doroteja Belavi\u010d b. 1778. Together, they had at least 9 children, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Jurij \u0160nelar b. 1797, m. ca. 1835 to Ana Verbanec (Pecojova<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

1B. Nikolaj \u0160nelar b. 1799. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

1C. Matija \u0160nelar b. 1802, died at the age of 33 in Karlovac. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

1D. Marija \u0160nelar b. 1802. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

1E. Katarina \u0160nelar b. 1805, m. 1834 to Matija Verbanec (Pecojov<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>).<\/p>\n

1F. Ana \u0160nelar b. 1809. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

1G. Miha \u0160nelar b. 1810, m. 1847 to Marija Mihel\u010di\u010d (Marko\u0161a<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2G. Jurij \u0160nelar b. 1857, m. 1883 to Barbara Sim\u010di\u010d (Ravidi\u010dova from Vukovci<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2H. Barbara \u0160nelar b. 1863, m. 1883 to Matija Sim\u010di\u010d (Ravidi\u010dov from Vukovci<\/a>).<\/p>\n

2I. Nikolaj \u0160nelar b. 1867, m. 1893 to Katarina Brozovi\u010d (Mlada Papova<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>)<\/p>\n

3D. Matija \u0160nelar b. 1904, m. 1930 to Ana \u0160pehar (Andrija\u0161eva from Damelj<\/a>).<\/p>\n

3E. Johan \u0160nelar b. 1910, died at the age of 38. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

With none of these children remaining at this household, Peter \u0160tampahar (Bla\u0161ev from Vukovci<\/a>) and Ana Kru\u0161ec (U\u010dakovci 45<\/a>) moved in.<\/p>\n
