While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. In the case of some smaller settlements such as Ogulin<\/a> and Dre\u017enik<\/a>, household names were never widely adopted as there was no need to differentiate families from each other. In the case of Dre\u017enik, there is very limited repetition of surnames leading to the use of surnames as the “household name”.<\/p>\n

This house is the second of 2 documented houses in church documents to be considered a \u201cnew\u201d house in Dre\u017enik<\/a>. The best estimate for the construction of these series of houses is after 1820.<\/p>\n

The Muhi\u010d family that originally inhabited this house is an offshoot of the family of Dre\u017enik 7<\/a>, the Le\u0161i\u010devi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Jurij Lesica b. 1793. He married Katarina Muhi\u010d (Muhi\u010deva<\/a>) b. 1813. Together, they had at least 1 child, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Katarina Lesica b. 1845, had 1 illegitimate child — she remained at this house.<\/p>\n

Before marrying Jurij Lesica, Katarina Muhi\u010d had 1 child:<\/p>\n

1B. Jurij Muhi\u010d b. 1836, m. 1864 to Marija Frankovi\u010d (Mata\u010deva from Nova Lipa<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

Katarina Lesica [1A] had 1 illegitimate children which died in infancy.<\/p>\n
