While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. In the case of some smaller settlements such as Ogulin<\/a> and Dre\u017enik<\/a>, household names were never widely adopted as there was no need to differentiate families from each other. In the case of Dre\u017enik, there is very limited repetition of surnames leading to the use of surnames as the “household name”.<\/p>\n

Dre\u017enik 5 is one of the few houses which have documented household names but this is likely due to the duplication of an existing surname in the village.\u00a0 This family is known as the Kova\u010devi likely because the patriarch at this house at one point was a blacksmith.<\/p>\n

\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Ana b. 1750. With her husband, she had at least 1 child:<\/p>\n

1A. Jurij Kobeti\u010d b. 1775, m. to Katarina Muhi\u010d — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2A. Matija Kobeti\u010d b. 1807, m. to Margareta \u0160tefani\u010d.<\/p>\n

2B. Ana Kobeti\u010d b. 1809. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

2C. Jurij Kobeti\u010d b. 1811, m. 1844 to Barbara Buba\u0161 (Gornja Buba\u0161ova<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

Jurij Kobeti\u010d [2C] :andwife Barbara Buba\u0161 had 6 children:<\/p>\n

3A. Ana Kobeti\u010d b. 1846, died at the age of 21. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

3B. Jurij Kobeti\u010d b. 1847, m. 1868 to Ana Gor\u0161e (Hrast pri Vinici 42<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

3C. Marija Kobeti\u010d b. 1851, m. 1881 to Jurij Kobe (Pa\u010dov from Otok pri Vukovci<\/a>).<\/p>\n

3D. Matija Kobeti\u010d b. 1856, died at the age of 26. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

3E. Barbara Kobeti\u010d b. 1860, m. 1886 to Laurent Mihel\u010di\u010d (Staregov<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>) — they lived at U\u010dakovci 41<\/a>.<\/p>\n

3F. Johan Kobeti\u010d b. 1863. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

Jurij Kobeti\u010d [3B] and his wife Ana Gor\u0161e had 7 children, including:<\/p>\n

4A. Ana Kobeti\u010d b. 1871, m. 1906 to Johan Mravinec (Mravin\u010dev from Nova Lipa<\/a>).<\/p>\n

4B. Nikolaj Kobeti\u010d b. 1875, m. 1901 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Marija Buba\u0161 (U\u010dakovci 44<\/a>) — they returned to live at this house.<\/p>\n

4C. Franc Kobeti\u010d b. 1882, died at the age of 29. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

4D. Matija Kobeti\u010d b. 1885, died at the age of 25 in Export, Pennsylvania. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

Nikolaj Kobeti\u010d [4B] and his wife Marija Buba\u0161 had 9 children, including:<\/p>\n

5A. Marija Kobeti\u010d b. 1902, m. 1940 to Franc Puskari\u010d (Zagor).<\/p>\n

5B. Franc Kobeti\u010d b. 1906, m. 1930 to Marija Pavlakovi\u010d (Grdunkina<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

5C. Ana Kobeti\u010d b. 1909, m. 1929 to Peter \u0160nelar (Sinji Vrh 45).<\/p>\n

5D. Nikolaj Kobeti\u010d b. 1915. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

Franc Kobeti\u010d [5B] and his wife Marija Pavlakovi\u010d had 5 children.<\/p>\n
