While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. In the case of some smaller settlements such as Ogulin<\/a> and Dre\u017enik<\/a>, household names were never widely adopted as there was no need to differentiate families from each other. In the case of Dre\u017enik, there is very limited repetition of surnames leading to the use of surnames as the “household name”.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Markovi\u010d b. 1763. He married Marija \u0160tajdohar b. 1762. Together, they had at least 2 children, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Johan Markovi\u010d b. 1805, m. ca. 1825 to Katarina Frankovi\u010d — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

1B. Marija Markovi\u010d b. 1807, died at the age of 46. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

Johan Markovi\u010d [1A] and his wife Katarina Frankovi\u010d had 6 children, including:<\/p>\n

2A. Katarina Markovi\u010d b. 1826, died at the age of 85. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

2B. Johan Markovi\u010d b. 1830. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

Johan Markovi\u010d [1A] m. ca. 1840 to his second wife Barbara Frankovi\u010d had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n

2C. Barbara Markovi\u010d b. 1841, m. 1868 to Jurij \u0160pehar (Sinji Vrh 24)1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

2D. Nikolaj Markovi\u010d b. 1842, m. 1868 to Ana \u0160pehar (Sinji Vrh 24)1<\/sup> — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2E. Jurij Markovi\u010d b. 1845, died at the age of 26. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

2F. Marija Markovi\u010d b. 1847, m. 1870 to Johan \u0160pehar (\u0160peharji 15) — they lived at Nova Lipa 14.<\/p>\n

2G. Helena Markovi\u010d b. 1849, died at the age of 31. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

2H. Peter Markovi\u010d b. 1856, m. 1884 to Katarina La\u0161i\u010d (Bel\u010dji Vrh 14) — they lived at Nova Lipa 37.<\/p>\n

1. Jurij \u0160pehar and Ana \u0160pehar were siblings.<\/em><\/sup><\/p>\n

Nikolaj Markovi\u010d [2D] and his wife Ana \u0160pehar had 3 children, including:<\/p>\n

3A. Ana Markovi\u010d b. 1873, m. 1908 to Johan Frankovi\u010d (Mata\u010dev from Nova Lipa<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Nikolaj Markovi\u010d [2D] m. ca. 1874 to his second wife Katarina Dra\u017eumeri\u010d (Bel\u010dji Vrh 32). Together they had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n

3B. Jo\u017eefa Markovi\u010d b. 1882. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

Katarina Dra\u017eumeri\u010d m. 1887 to her second husband Matija La\u0161i\u010d (Bel\u010dji Vrh 14). Together they had 2 children which died in infancy.<\/p>\n
