While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of \u0160utejovi. It is conceivable that this house name is a reference to this being the original or the oldest \u0160utej family in Se\u010dje Selo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found three distinct houses which originally carried the \u0160utej surname in Se\u010dje Selo<\/a>. This is the second of the three houses (in order of house address).<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Katarina b. 1768. With her husband, she had at least 3 children, including:<\/p>\n

1B. Son \u0160utej b. ca. 1781, m. ca. 1800 to Marija — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2L. Katarina \u0160utej b. 1816, m. ca. 1841 to a man from \u017duni\u010di 17.<\/p>\n

2M. Jakob \u0160utej b. 1821. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

2N. Matija \u0160utej b. 1823. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n
