While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of \u010cernovi. At this time, it is unknown what the origin of this name is.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found five distinct houses which originally carried the Mravinec surname in Se\u010dje Selo<\/a>. This is the third of the five houses (in order of house address). The Mravinec surname is also commonly found in Perudina<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The oldest records we have found to date for a person from this house is for several siblings, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Ana Mravinec b. 1794, m. ca. 1822 to Jurij Per\u0161eti\u010d (Vinica 16).<\/p>\n

1B. Johan Mravinec b. 1795, m. ca. 1824 to Katarina Ostroni\u010d — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

1C. Jurij Mravinec b. 1803. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

1D. Matija Mravinec b. 1817, m. ca. 1846 to Barbara \u010cemas (Galeti\u010deva<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>) — they lived at Podklanec 5<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Johan Mravinec [1B] and his wife Katarina Ostroni\u010d had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n

2A. Johan Mravinec b. 1825. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

2B. Nikolaj Mravinec b. 1827, m. 1857 to Ana Belavi\u010d (Podklanec 2<\/a>)1<\/sup> — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2C. Barbara Mravinec b. 1830. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

2D. Katarina Mravinec b. 1833, m. ca. 1854 to Jurij \u0160utej (\u0160utejov<\/a>) — they lived at Se\u010dje Selo 14<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2E. Miha Mravinec b. 1837, m. 1866 to Barbara Belavi\u010d (Podklanec 2<\/a>)1<\/sup> — they lived at Se\u010dje Selo 8<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1. Ana Belavi\u010d and Barbara Belavi\u010d were sisters.<\/em><\/sup><\/p>\n

Nikolaj Mravinec [2B] and his wife Ana Belavi\u010d had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n

3A. Johan Mravinec b. 1858, m. 1890 in Omaha, Nebraska to Helena Cveta\u0161 (Dolnja Mlinarova<\/a> from Zilje<\/a>).<\/p>\n

3B. Marija Mravinec b. 1860, m. 1883 to Nikolaj Balkovec (Polan\u010dev<\/a> from Hrast<\/a>).<\/p>\n

3C. Ana Mravinec b. 1868, m. 1889 to Nikolaj Zatov\u0161ek (Lukinov<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>).<\/p>\n

3D. Miha Mravinec b. 1873. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

At this point, the original Mravinec lineage ended. Johan Mravinec (Gornji Bertov<\/a>) moved in with his wife Barbara \u0160pehar (Vrane\u0161i\u010dev from Gornji Suhor<\/a>). Although there is no solid evidence, it is believed that the Mravinec family of Se\u010dje Selo 7 and Se\u010dje Selo 15<\/a> do have a common ancestry.<\/p>\n

4B. Franca Mravinec b. 1916, m. 1955 to Franc \u0160pehar (\u0160peharov<\/a> from Hrast<\/a>).<\/p>\n
