While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house carries the name of Gornji Vale\u010di. This name is most likely derived from the physical location of the house relative to the other homes in the subdivision of Balkovci known as Valeti. This family was later known as the Mlinari.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found three distinct houses which originally carried the Ivanu\u0161i\u010d surname in Valeti<\/a>. This is the second of the three houses (in order of house address).<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Jurij Ivanu\u0161i\u010d b. 1780. He married Suzana \u017duni\u010d b. 1788. Together, they had at least 1 child, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Jurij Ivanu\u0161i\u010d b. 1824, m. ca. 1844 to Barbara Krotec — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

3F. Magdalena Ivanu\u0161i\u010d b. 1886, m. 1907 to Franc Grdun (Antonov<\/a>).<\/p>\n

1. Marija \u017duni\u010d (married to Simon Ivanu\u0161i\u010d) is the daughter of Marija \u017duni\u010d (married to Jurij Ivanu\u0161i\u010d) from her first marriage to Peter \u017duni\u010d.
