These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Jurehi. This name is directly derived from the name of the man who constructed this house, Jurij Balkovec.<\/p>\n<p>This house is the third of 8 documented houses in church documents to be considered a \u201cnew\u201d house in <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/perudina\/\">Perudina<\/a>. The best estimate for the construction of these series of houses is after 1880.<\/p>\n<p>The Balkovec family that originally inhabited this house is an offshoot of the Balkovec family of <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/the-people\/hrast-pri-vinici-14-polancevi\/\">Hrast 14<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/the-people\/hrast-pri-vinici-14-polancevi\/\">Polan\u010devi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Jurij Balkovec (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/the-people\/hrast-pri-vinici-14-polancevi\/\">Polan\u010dev<\/a>) b. 1826. He married Barbara Kasun (Veliki Jadr\u010d 48) b. 1836.
