While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Kraljevi. At this time, the origin of this name is unknown to us.<\/p>\n
This house is the second of ten documented houses in church documents to be considered a “new” house in Hrast<\/a>. The best estimate for the construction of these series of houses is after 1830.<\/p>\n The Balkovec family that originally inhabited this house is the Balkovec family of Hrast 9<\/a>. It is not clear why they are documented as being residents of this house as a Gor\u0161e family from Hrast 33<\/a> moved in here soon after the houses creation.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Miha Gor\u0161e (Zapoj\u010dev<\/a>) b. 1816. He married Ana Flajnik (Dolnja Bertova from Perudina<\/a>) b. 1828 in 1849. Together they had 1 child which died in infancy..<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ana Flajnik m. 1880 to her second husband from \u010crnomelj — it is unknown where they went afterwards..<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Upon the departure of the former residents, the younger brother of Ana Flajnik, Jurij Flajnik b. 1841 moved into this house with his wife Katarina Benec (Marki\u010deva<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jurij Flajnik and his wife Katarina Benec had 2 children:<\/p>\n 1A. Jurij Flajnik b. 1870. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 1B. Ana Flajnik b. 1873, m. 1894 to Jurij Mravinec (Gornji Mravin\u010dev from Perudina<\/a>).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jurij Flajnik m. 1876 to his second wife Ana Vlahovi\u010d (Janko\u010deva from Vinica<\/a>). Together they had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n 1C. Franc Flajnik b. 1887, m. 1905 to Katarina Gor\u0161e (Hrast 24<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n Franc Flajnik [1C] and his wife Katarina Gor\u0161e had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A.
