The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either.<\/p>\n<p>Through the period of our studies, we have found seven distinct houses which originally carried the Balkovec surname in <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/\">Hrast<\/a>. This is the seventh of the seven houses (in order of house address). The Balkovec surname is only originally found in <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/\">Hrast<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/\">Zilje<\/a> (including <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/balkovci\/\">Balkovci<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>This house had several different families living in it over the period of our research. The original Balkovec family was only here for the first generation of that time period.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Katarina Pavle\u0161i\u010d b. 1790. Together, they had at least 1 child, including:<\/p>\n<p>1A. Johan Balkovec b. 1818. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Upon the death of her husband, Katarina Pavle\u0161i\u010d m. ca. 1840 to her second husband Jurij \u0160peli\u010d (Drenovec 1) &#8212; they lived at Drenovec 1.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At this point, the original lineage ended at this house. At this point Johan Panjan (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/the-people\/hrast-pri-vinici-30-panjanovi\/\">Panjanov<\/a>) and his wife Katarina Mravinec (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/the-people\/hrast-pri-vinici-21\/\">Hrast 21<\/a>) moved into the house but had no children.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With Johan Panjan and Katarina Mravinec not having any children, Jurij Bro\u017ei\u010d (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/the-people\/gornje-zilje\/central-gornje-zilje\/zilje-9-gornji-brozici\/\">Gornji Bro\u017ei\u010dev<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/\">Zilje<\/a>) and his wife Margareta Jaketi\u010d (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/the-people\/gornje-zilje\/central-gornje-zilje\/zilje-7-perusici-gornji-lugari\/\">Peru\u0161i\u010deva<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/\">Zilje<\/a>) moved in.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jurij Bro\u017ei\u010d and his wife Margareta Jaketi\u010d had at least 1 child, including:<\/p>\n<p>2A. Marija Bro\u017ei\u010d b. 1863, m. 1883 to Peter \u017dalec (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/the-people\/gornje-zilje\/mureticevo-selo\/zilje-13-zalci\/\">\u017dal\u010dev<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/\">Zilje<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Margareta Jaketi\u010d m. 1878 to her second husband Miha Flajnik (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/the-people\/hrast-pri-vinici-27-bartolovi\/\">Bartolov<\/a>). Together they had 1 child:<\/p>\n<p>2B. Marija Flajnik b. 1867, died at the age of 70. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Miha Flajnik m. 1918 to his second wife Marija Gor\u0161e (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/the-people\/hrast-pri-vinici-24\/\">Hrast 24<\/a>) but did not have any children with her.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Nikolaj Balkovec [1A] and his wife Marija Flajnik had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>2A.
