This house originally carried the name of Panjanovi. This household name is directly derived from the surname of the family that lived here.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found only one house in Hrast<\/a> with the Panjan surname. To date, this surname has only been found in Stara Lipa<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Marko Panjan b. 1760. He with his wife had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Jurij Panjan b. 1785, m. ca. 1802 to Katarina Mihel\u010di\u010d — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 1B. Marko Panjan b. 1802. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 1C. Johan Panjan b. 1803, m. ca. 1839 to Marija Flajnik — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 1D. Barbara Panjan b. 1807. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n Jurij Panjan [1A] and his wife Katarina Mihel\u010di\u010d had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Jurij Panjan b. 1803, died at the age of 47. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 2B. Matija Panjan b. 1807, m. ca. 1809 to Marija \u0160tajdohar (Kalih\u010dana<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 2C. Katarina Panjan b. 1809, m. ca. 1839 to Matija Flajnik (Turmarov<\/a>).<\/p>\n 2D. Peter Panjan b. 1818, died at the age of 37. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Johan Panjan [1C] and his wife Marija Flajnik had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n 2E. Ana Panjan b. 1848, m. 1868 to Miha Pavle\u0161i\u010d (Kosli\u017eekev from Perudina<\/a>).<\/p>\n Matija Panjan [2B] and his wife Marija \u0160tajdohar had 6 children, including:<\/p>\n 3A. Matija Panjan b. 1839, m. 1861 to Marija Flajnik (Kaplanova<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 3B. Ana Panjan b. 1843. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n 3C. Miha Panjan b. 1846, m. 1880 to Marija Flajnik (Juni\u010darjeva<\/a>) — they lived at Hrast 47.<\/p>\n Matija Panjan [3A] and his wife Marija Flajnik had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n 4A. Marija Panjan b. 1861, m. 1882 to Jurij \u0160veb (\u0160vebov<\/a> from U\u010dakovci<\/a>)<\/p>\n 4B. Johan Panjan b. 1867. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 4C. Peter Panjan b. 1871. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At this point, the Panjan lineage ends at this house. The daughter of Marija Panjan [4A] and Jurij \u0160veb, Fran\u010di\u0161ka b. 1890, later moved in with her husband Johan \u0160utej (Vukovci 24). He died and she remarried Franc Karin (Gornji Karinov<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>). He too died at the age of 23 at which point, for reasons unknown to us, Fran\u010di\u0161ka \u0160veb left to the United States.
