At this time, the origin of this name is unknown to us but it is reasonable to assume that the patriarch at this house was once a man name Bart, Bartolomej or just Jernej.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found seventeen distinct houses which originally carried the Flajnik surname. This is the twelfth of the seventeen houses (in order of house address). The Flajnik surname is only originally found in Hrast<\/a>, Perudina<\/a> and Vukovci<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Jurij Flajnik b. 1779. He married Helena Flajnik b. 1785 and had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Marija Flajnik b. 1808. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n 1B. Matija Flajnik b. 1814, m. ca. 1838 to Katarina Mravinec (Gornji Mravinci from Perudina<\/a>)1<\/sup> — they remained at this house..<\/p>\n 1C. Nikolaj Flajnik b. 1817, died at the age of 47. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 1D. Barbara Flajnik b. 1820, m. ca. 1838 to Jurij Mravinec (Gornji Mravinci from Perudina<\/a>)1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n 1. Jurij Mravinec and Katarina Mravinec were siblings.<\/em><\/sup><\/p>\n Matija Flajnik [1B] and his wife Katarina Mravinec had 7 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Matija Flajnik b. 1841, m. 1869 to Barbara Vlahovi\u010d (Janko\u010deva from Vinica<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 2B. Miha Flajnik b. 1843, m. 1878 to Marjeta Jaketi\u010d (Peru\u0161i\u010deva<\/a> from Zilje<\/a>) — they lived at Hrast 37.<\/p>\n 2C. Peter Flajnik b. 1847, m. 1881 to Ana Flajnik (Hrast 32).<\/p>\n 2D. Jurij Flajnik b. 1855, m. 1886 to Marija Pavle\u0161i\u010d (Gornja Bertova from Perudina<\/a>).<\/p>\n Matija Flajnik [2A] and his wife Barbara Vlahovi\u010d had 4 children:<\/p>\n 3A. Ana Flajnik b. 1873, m. 1896 to Johan Rogina (Brojdi\u010dev from Stara Lipa<\/a>).<\/p>\n 3B. Matija Flajnik b. 1875. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 3C. Franc Flajnik b. 1887, m. 1907 to Barbara Flajnik (Jan\u010danova).<\/p>\n 3D. Barbara Flajnik b. 1889. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At this point, the original Flajnik lineage ended at this house.
