The Kr\u010dmari at Zilje 26 are the original household for this family. The word kr\u010dmar<\/em> means “tavern owner”, and so it is possible the Kr\u010dmari once had a tavern. The split in the family occurred ca. 1825 when the Dolnji Kr\u010dmari<\/a> built their own house next door at Zilje 35<\/a>. The surname of this family has been \u010cadoni\u010d for the entire period of history we have studied.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan \u010cadoni\u010d. He married Barbara Balkovec. Together, they had at least 3 children, including:<\/p>\n
